Right now I am riding the Phase 5 Oogle with a Hyperlite fish fin 1.6" my buddy just got a LF custom and swears up and down it rides better than my Phase. I've not had a chance to ride his board so I am looking for some input as to weather I should keep my board or look at something new.

I dont know, I have ridden both and really really liked the Custom.  When you put your foot ALL the way back, I mean back in the pad, that thing tracks sooo well.  I felt like I had so much more control and it really had a truf surf style.

The Phase to me has more of the skim/surf style.  They are fun and loose, but with the hard edge it doesnt feel like you are always loosing your edge.  Tough choice...

IMO I would go with the Custom - - -

Well well well, I have a chance to figure this out for myself. My buddy Tim just bought a boat and he also owns a custom (same jerk that is making me reconsider my board purchase) Weather permitting I will give both a ride on Sunday!

Test 1 is inconclusive. I rode the custom twice and liked the overall feel. It appears to be pretty easy to recover from mistakes and it accelerates well. I felt a little to locked in with the stock fin and really couldnt get it to break loose on the lip.

I did not ride the custom side by side with my Phase though the custom seemed to be a  little less reactive on edge. A sick dog is keeping me from test 2 today, hopefully I can get out later this week and do another comparison.

Thus far keeping the Phase 5, esspecially as my buddy owns the Custom and I have more time for product testing.

Yea, I guess its all in what you are looking for.  The custom gives ya a little more of the surf feel... But if you can use them both on a regular basis win win for corey!

That vest appears a bit short or possible too narrow.  There seems to be some overhang.

Light beer might be a good idea in the future!

Dude, my belly has style points, LOTS of style points and I plan on keeping it that way. It takes a whole lot of chicken wings to get style like that and I don't want all those chickens to have died for no reason.

Hey cut Corey some slack. I heard that Parks put on some lbs to add some style points and to be like Corey. I have been trying for years to add style to my riding, but from all the weight I cut for wrestling my body doesn not seem to think that style is cool.

No new info, I had my Phase 5 out last Monday and was loving it. Between the two I don't think you can go wrong. It's been to cold to get out more often, if I can find some time soon I'll getcha a more detailed comparison.
