I am posting this under difficult circumstances, my mother, Jo Ann (Price) Miller has just been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and her business, Dolphin Wetsuits has ceased to be a going concern as a result of her recent illness. Jo Ann and her late husband (my father), Bill Price started the American Barefoot Club in the United States in the 1970's, and my father served as the ABC's first President, and my mother as secretary for several years.
They also had a business called Waterworks Wetsuits, under which the Dolphin Wetsuits label was sold. After my father's passing in 1988, my mother continued the legacy until recently under the name of Dolphin Wetsuits, although on a much smaller scale. My mom, Jo Ann is looking for someone who may be interested in purchasing the business, including machines, patterns, dolphin wetsuit name, along with a nice client database (clients included Sea World, Cypress Gardens, and numerous ski clubs and water-ski schools around the country).
Jo Ann will be happy to help the new owner with the transition as long as she is with us (which we hope will be for a long time, your prayers are greatly appreciated). The factory is located in Houston, TX and can be easily relocated. If you can spread the word to potential interested parties, that would be terrific. If you have any editorial opportunities in your newsletters, magazines, etc. we can craft a great story about the legacy of Dolphin Wetsuits and a nice bio on the Price family and Dolphin Wetsuits.
