Alright, we all started somewhere.  What did you guys/gals start riding on?

For me it was the O'Brien Shifty 137 from 1999.

I remember searching all over eBay trying to find a twin twip board design that was used.  Those were the good days... I was 18 and was riding behind an inflatable Zodiak dingy...  The wake was insane...

My first board was a traditional style with a 2.5" fin.  It was called an Obrien Woody.

Then after about 2 years I got the first twin tip, mine was a Wake tech Byerly.

The first board I owned was the Sound Harris Pro (see my avatar) but the first board I rode was a Wake Tech BFA, it was directional and believe it or not my first set was behind a Correct Craft Sport Nautique!!! That was a pretty rad day, I didnt own any board shorts so I was riding in cutoff jeans.

Boat was Lynn's, driver was Larry and I thank them both.

Good times.  I remember the fist time i stood up on a kneeboard.  (God I still have that thing in the garage too!).  I thought I was the coolest cat in town.  I think a week or two after that I went in with a buddy and picked up the Shifty.
Now my better half rides that thing.

Here's my arsenal over the years, these are not all the boards I rode, just the ones I owned or had on an extended demo (kept in my car for more than a month).

Hyperlite Vashon (long term demo from Crystal Ski)

Nelson Pro, learned more tricks on this board than any other. Plus the graphics were my favorite of all time. My buddy Andy has it now.

About this time I realize that I have magically inherited a  Liquid Force Superfly which I have no interest in riding so I decide to make it into a wakeskate. Bird and I cut her down by about 6", mold in 4 fins and mold in kick pads with great stuff foam and fiberglass. I ride it and realize I suck at wakeskating, but all in all its very fun.

Is that the one that was in the back storage room forever?  That thing looked sketchy at best as a wakeskate...

I take a hiatus from working at a wake shop, during the boat show I help out MWMC. While helping out I win a Hyperlite Premier from the rep. I am soooooo pumped on this board it hurts, I ride it once and realize I am to fat for such a small board and I exchange it for a Blindside 5.0 which I give to my future wife.

It was not sketchy, well maybe it was. It was forward thinking, yeah thats what it was.

Next year I help out at the boat show again, I trade my time for a Blindside Blade.
