I'm just curious to see how many riders in Minneapolis area have progressed onto a rail?

I've rocked out a couple of sliders. Bird and I built two different models based on the same canoe. I killed the canoe and I don't mean with my mad style but more so with my front fin tearing a 6' gash in the bottom.

We have done a couple of rail type jams around the area...  I think there are a couple of other people around here doing similiar things.  I dont think that there is quite the "scene" that there is out west or even south because of the lack of cable parks and such, but people are always trying things out.

Sorry John I don't know what I was thinking. It is all this work related stress that is getting to me and feeling a part of me missing without Mr.G around the shop.

Built one 6 years ago...it sucked.  only 10 ft, and the pontoons didn't hold a 200lb dude.  just have yet to try a real rail.

I'll see if Birds slider is still in effect, my guess is it needs a little (a lot) fiberglass work to get back on the water full time but I bet a little duct tape would make her float for a day or so.

We built the slider on top of his canoe. Before we built that one we just tipped the canoe updside down on a big tube. The tube base slider actually worked pretty well until I decided to 50/50 it and pushed my front fin ALL the way through the canoe (hence need for fiberglass work). I ended up putting about a 4 foot gash right in the bottom of said canoe. Theres video of that grand day somewhere, I'm suprised Bird didnt post it just to mock me.

In the grand scheme of things scuttling her might save everyone a little hassle and might get me off the hook for ruining Birds canoe.

What we really need is some type of cable park.  I know that it wont happen for a long time to come, but if we could figure out a use for it during the winter.  One can only wish right?

Word on the street  is there are some watersports related facilities moving into the state over the next couple of years. I havent heard that it was a cable park, but we can always hope.

I wonder if you could run it in the winter and have a snowboard slider park?

NO.  Don't need it(snowboard slider, b/c I don't know how.):D.  What about the metrodome, its a POS anyway, why not flood it, then we could ride all year!!!

What a cure for Cabin fever!!;)

A flooded metrodome would make for much cooler boat shows, we could have boats in the water for test drives!

John, speaking of good use why don't you put yourself to some and get the login area fixed. I mean I brought this point up like a year ago already.

I am working on getting the whole site revamped.  The login area is definitly on the list of things to be reworked.

God took like 7 days to create the world, and it is still not perfect.... it may take me longer to get the forum perfect.

Thanks for the offer but not this year, I promised Heather a trip somewhere warm and my bank account has not reached the FULL level yet so it will be a one trip year. That and I may be banned from Frisco for the infamous canned fruit cocktail in light syrup incident.

Ummm thats a story that should prolly stay in the past, I'm not sure what the statutes of limitation are on such an event. Plus those involved are not here to defend themselves.

On the upside Summit County is rad, I've had a ton of good times there. Pretty much alway had good snow (except for Keystone, note rocks on the hill?) lately I've been hitting up Steamboat because my buddy lives there, but I'll be back in summit someday.

Yea, summit was a second home for me in highschool.  I would be out for races every other weekend for a while there.  It was a blast.  The only good times I have really had at Keystone were buzzed up night skiing... It was scary, yet fun...
