Has any one ridden at Heavenly or Solitude? My wife and I are planning a trip (somewhat on a budget) and these are two places I've never been.

I Have actually been to Heavenly before.  Its pretty cool being able to ski down Cali on one run and then rock out in Nevada the next.
The one thing that kinda sucked was that it was crazy wind when I was there and a lot of the lifts were closed down - which apparently happens kinda often....

But all in all tons of snow and a great attituted around the lake...

Heavenly is sick! If its a good season the snow is unreal with tons of different terrain to rip up.  South lake is a blast at night too! There is a bunch of good restaurants and clubs to hit up.  On the weekends a lot of people form San Fran and Sacramento roll into town so it can get crowded at times around town but never really on the mountains.  There are a couple hills all within like a ten mile radius.  Well worth the trip!
